Six people found dead in mass killing at Japan tourist hotspot

Inhabitants of a remote town in south-western Japan are grappling with an abhorrent mass homicide after six individuals, including five individuals from a similar family, were discovered dead inside a farmhouse.

Police said they later found the body of a seventh individual who had hopped or tumbled from an adjacent extension into a waterway in Takachiho, Miyazaki prefecture, a mountain town of 12,000 individuals and a well known traveler goal.

Examiners found the body of a lady outside the house and the collections of five other individuals, including a young lady, inside, on Monday. Media reports said a portion of the unfortunate casualties seemed to have been cut.

Police named three of them as Mihoko Iihoshi, the 66-year-old spouse of the house's proprietor, 72-year-old rancher Yasuo Iihoshi, their seven-year-old granddaughter Yui and a male colleague, 44-year-old Fumiaki Matsuoka.

The assortments of the staying three exploited people – two men and a lady – were yet to be openly recognized.

Police went to the house after a relative revealed to them his calls to the family had gone unanswered, as indicated by Kyodo news.
