Arjun Tendulkar sends England’s Jonny Bairstow hobbling out of nets at Lord’s

England batsman Jonny Bairstow walked out of the nets after facing just 1 delivery on Wednesday after the right-handed batsman suffered an unexpected injury scare while facing Arjun Tendulkar, son of legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar. (ENG vs SA LIVE SCORES)

England will face South Africa in the first Test of this four-match series at Lord's on Thursday but the injury isn't likely to rule out the wicket-keeper batsman from the Test.

As per a report in Daily Mail, Jonny Bairstow was outdone with a yorker in the 17-year-old Arjun Tendulkar, who has practised with the England national team on previous events too.

The harm was just a knock but Bairstow's left-foot had to be temporarily put on the compressor.

Arjun Tendulkar is a left-arm seamer and unlike his father, is more recognised as a bowler.

In the biopic 'Sachin -- A Billion Dreams', there were quite a few cases as well at which Sachin Tendulkar could be seen guiding Arjun to bowl in the desired lengths at the nets.

Arjun Tendulkar has already represent Mumbai in under-14 and under-16 tournaments.
